Opinion | 🇧🇷 Brazil is one of the world’s most unequal societies. The richest retirees draw an average pension 100 times greater than the poorest 14 percent. "While the poor got less poor and tens of millions of Brazilians clambered into the middle class from 2001 to 2015, the rich got even richer," explains Mac Margolis. A recent poll showed that Brazilians suffered the third largest drop in self-declared well-being among 130 countries. The struggle shows no signs of stopping: Income inequality has increased steadily for the last 17 quarters.
