To be of the view that people like Dinesh are simply using the insult the other way around for rhetorical reasons misses the point. Many heroes of the left admired and encouraged hitler and Mussolini (as well as the Soviet regimes). Why? Because they were assholes too?
Furthermore, to simply focus on those points where you disagree with the Nazi’s and claim that such features are the essential variables is to beg the question. You’re defining the Other’s identity purely in terms of your own ideological beliefs. It’s like a white guy saying all those brown people across the middle east look the same because they’re not as white as him. Despite that some Syrians, for example, may be whiter in complexion and that your own skin is derived from an ancestry related to theirs.
People on the left often just emphasize the socialist component of National Socialism, while righties emphasize the nationalist component. But they both subscribe socialism.
The idea that it’s merely a ploy is laughable. All these nazis think they’re going to just trick everybody into thinking they are the opposite of what they believe? How could that even make strategic sense?
