One of the oldest debates in pedagogy is the question of whether it's better to sort students by cognitive ability, for example putting the smartest kids in one class, the average kids in another class and the slower-learning kids in their own class, or are there more advantages in putting them all together?
In fact, Professor and author Ken Robinson gave a TED conference talk in 2010 that's since had about 15 million views on two YouTube videos, which directly attacks the philosophy of tracking.
