Last December Richard Horton - editor of the Lancet - posted a number of tweets critical of economics and economists. I and two professional colleagues - Prof David Parkin from King’s College London and Prof Alan Maynard at the University of York - felt we had to rise to the bait. And so we wrote a retort.
